Ad Nauseum...literally!

37 more days to the American Presidential election and I cannot wait till it's all over. I'm sick of watching all the campaign commercials on TV right now. Actually, what really gets on my nerves are those dirty, distasteful, hit-below-the-belt commercials, which seem to be solely monopolized by the Republican party. I like Senator Russ Feingold's ads for his re-election campaign and he has proven to be a man of integrity time and again, who would never yield to his opponent's negative attack and can always be counted on to take the moral high road. Russ has a 12 years of proven record in the Senate as a maverick and a highly capable legislator--like casting the lonely vote against the Patriot Act and co-sponsoring the Campaign Finance Reform Act with Senator John McCain--and will always follow in the long illustrious tradition of progressive politicians in Wisconsin, in the same hallowed company with "Fighting" Bob LaFollette, Carl and Frank Zeidler and many others. You'll definitely get my vote this coming Nov. 2nd, Russ. (As if I have any other choice!)

As for John Kerry, I'd hold my nose first before I mark his name on the ballot paper. Yes, my vote can be counted as part of the ABB (Anybody But Bush) votes and I do know plenty of like-minded people. For Pete's sake, can you please inject some life or maybe administer the electric shock into your campaign? There is an eerie resemblance to the Al Gore's campaign four years ago in terms of its tepid and lackluster way of countering the Bush's wild charges and foiling his maniacal attempt to deflect the spotlight from the real issues at hand, for example, Iraq, the economy, healthcare, education, and most importantly, the lies and deceits orchestrated by the White House throughout the Bush's reign of terror--and we know what happened to Al Gore. This is the classic example of the Kerry's unwillingness to pick a side in major issues, and thus, further confusing the public on what his real convictions are. Kerry, you cannot have your cake and eat it too! Yes, Miss Rocket, if you happen to read this, the cake-eating theory of yours also applies to politics.

Anyway, this overly-cautious, playing-it-safe triangulated politics is not going to work. The American voting public is more polarized than ever and it has no patience for mushy indecisive candidate who doesn't seem to know where he stands from day to day. Pick your stance, stand your ground, and let the voters decide. The presidential debates will be coming up soon and this will be Kerry's last chance to prove to the American public that he's the real deal (borrowed from one of his various campaign mottos.) Fuck those independent voters. Who the fuck are these people anyway and why do they get to decide on the winner come election time?

I read somewhere where a guy's opinion echoes yours, about Kerry's lack of power in his campaign. anyway, despite you (and many others) telling me that most americans are applying the ABB principle it seems the exact opposite from where I'm reading at. But then again, the media is never truthful yeah?

The mainstream media is usually the last one to capture the real undercurrents of the public sentiments. How can you be if most of your news content reflect the official propaganda and "conventional wisdom", or worse, your own ideological bent, like Fox News. This is my third Presidential election and I've never seen such massive mobilization of people like what's happening right now. You can just feel the tremor and the shakes on the ground, brewing with deep resentment for Bush and his minions, and anxiously waiting for the election day to fully spew out its long pent-up frustrations.
