Okay, the previous post was written in the heat of the moment without any deep contemplation at all. It was a pure emotional outburst that helped me to somewhat cool off after what had been a long and stressful day. After writing up the post I had a long chat with the object of my derision - who later became my object of affection! - and we somehow came to a truce. She has her reasons for doing the things that she did and doesn't expect me to understand them, which I don't but I respect her decision for doing so anyway. She even read the blog, so I'm totally in the clear... Phew! We did meet up in the end and we spent my last remaining hours in Jakarta together until the imminent danger of missing my flight back to KL cruelly separated us. Damn you, Air Asia! But what was about to become a crappy and almost worthless trip turned out in the end to be a glorious one.
Yes, I left Jakarta as an extremely elated and satisfied man though laden with a heavy heart. I've never felt so reluctant to leave somebody before - the closest to it is when I had to leave my kids at the pesantren to go back to Malaysia - and now there are parts of me still replaying the scenes from those final departing moments: from the time she came to my hotel at 4:30 in the morning after a long day at work to our heart-to-heart pillow talk to arguing who made the first move to kiss to holding hands in the cab-ride to the airport. Boy, even writing about this makes me want to immediately book a plane ticket and fly out to Jakarta the first thing tomorrow morning. Or buy my own private jet, so I can fly there on a whim! As the saying goes, distance does make the heart grows fonder but it forgets to mention that it sucks big time to be that far away from someone you care deeply about. Okay, I better stop writing before it turns mushy and corny!
Now I've added a new dimension to my life and it has given me the additional motivation to get my life in order. It's too early to say where this relationship will lead us to but I'll try my very best to make it work. It'll be even better if Datuk Tony Fernandez can give me a free weekly Air Asia roundtrip ticket to Jakarta! I'm planning to be in Jakarta from March 19-22 for my friend's wedding, which now has become a secondary reason of going there, and the two-month wait until then is killing me. Arghhh.... this is so goddamn frustrating! I wish there's an easier and more satisfying way to handle this situation but I guess we'll have to make do with this traveling routine for now. I'm so glad to be doing my part in helping Datuk Tony Fernandez becomes the richest man in Malaysia. For now the closest I'll ever be with her physically is by watching her news video clips on her TV station's website, which means I'll be spending more time at Starbucks and Coffee Bean since I don't have broadband internet at home. But as the lines from her favorite karaoke song Mr. Brightside go: "But it's just the price I pay, destiny is calling me; Open up my eager eyes, cause I'm Mr. Brightside." Actually, it's Miss Brightside to be exact...

macam telenovela ;P
but i'm glad yours is a happy ending!
I'm so happy for you!!! I wondered about what happened with you and her after the last time we chatted online and I'm just glad like you wouldn't believe that I'm reading this. hahaha sounds like you're whipped like whipped cream, and believe me, the feeling is amazingly wonderful and super duper corny. I know how that feels - I'm even attempting to cook for my boyfriend... me? cook? but that's what this thing does to you.
So I guess I should stop asking my infamous question everytime we email or talk eh?
btw, don't start becoming a sombong dude now that you're fixated!
- rocket.
thedreamer: yes, mcm telenovela haha.. it's a happy beginning for sure and i'm hoping for a similar ending also.
Nadia: I can't let you have all the fun haha... Remember, we're in this together and our fates are inextricably intertwined! I will now relieved you of your advising duty in which you have been such a failure for the past 6 years haha... BTW, i'll always have time for my favorite commentator.
