Datin Seri Endon Mahmood, the wife of the Malaysian PM, Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, passed away last night in the PM's official residence in Putra Jaya. The First Lady of Malaysia had been battling against breast cancer since 2003, which also claimed the live of her elder twin sister in the same year. There were rumors of her death a few months ago when she was undergoing chemotherapy in the US--spread through SMS (text-messaging)--but were later proved to be unfounded. My deepest and sincerest condolence to Pak Lah and his family. May her soul rest in peace. Amin.
